Mr Almeyda you requested feedback (letter 27/10/23) on completion of Prednisolone tablets for nasal polyps; herewith that feedback: In summary: nasal passages on completion Rthside virtually nil change remains as per my visit to you while Lthside seems to have enlarged/grown polyp blocking more of nasal passage. I also experienced some sleep disturbance (noticeable heart rate) while on the 8 tabs for 7 days, which diminished as the nos of tablets reduced. Details: I kept a daily log while taking Prednisolone given all the side-effects & other warnings listed; these notes are summarised below: Sun 29/10 commenced, noticed urine colour absolutely clear by lunchtime. Mon 30 on first appearance possible slight reduction in Rthside; Lthside no change. Tues 31 No change either side. Wed 01/11 Nothing really to note. Thurs 02 Rthside marginal reduction, whereas Lthside seems to have grown/lengthened, central hole surface appears to be affected. Fri 03 Rthside seems to have recoverd back to where it was before tablets, Lthside seems to have filled out more of the airway; hole seems stable. Sat 04 last of 8 tabs days, not slept well for the last 3 nights; will be glad when tabs finish. Sun 05 (6 tabs) little overall improvement; hope body returns to normal after trial. Mon 06 (6tabs) Feeling better with reduced tablets. Tues 07 & Wed 08 (4 tabs) Feeling better again. Thurs (2 tabs) No significant alteration Rthside, Lthside extended. Fri 10 (2 tabs) Last day of tablets, nose appears no better that it was originally, if anything slightly worse as Lthside more prominent & enlarged in airway. I did not enjoy the experience using the tablets.

I felt at ease as soon as the consultation began. Easy to talk to and extremely efficient in carrying out a thorough examination with great care and kindness. My condition was explained in great detail and he shared the MRI with me which illustrated the problem. He was able to provide some treatment and an immediate hearing test. A future plan was agreed with medication and practical solutions. I felt that the treatment I received was excellent and left feeling reassured by his kind and considerate bedside manner
