I have had my surgery during the coronavirus period. I have felt confident at all times with Rob Pollock and his team during these strange times. There have been several telephone consultations and email queries both pre and post operation. Each time I received a prompt response, which was most reassuring. Rob Pollock has a very pleasant voice and professional, caring manner which put me at ease throughout the past difficult months, for which I would like to thank him very much.

Very professional, excellent communication, put me at ease, and willing to explain and answer any questions. The surgery was successful and surprisingly very little post operative pain.Post surgery follow up was carried out as promised, although the initial and post op consultations were via telephone due to Covid -19. Despite lack of face to face consultations, I got total confidence in him as he was excellent at explaining and guiding me through the process.

I am truly indebted to you for your expertise in carrying out the surgery so quickly and professionally, despite these difficult times with Covid-19.Really appreciated it as I was very concerned and anxious as it was malignant. I cannot thank you enough. A very special thanks to Frankie for organising the biopsy, the CT scan and the surgery, and the post surgery MRI scan within a short period. She is very helpful and efficient and always available. Dhirendra Somaiya

I'm very grateful for everything Rob has done for me over the last couple of months, and for his continued help, support and advice since my operation. The operation went as well as I could have hoped and I was 100% confident throughout the whole process that I was in very good hands! Thank you, Rob. It's great to finally be on the mend.

Our very sporty 13-year old son was diagnosed with a Ewing’s Sarcoma in 2019. In Ireland, the only surgical option we were given would have resulted in him losing his shoulder function. Luckily, we sought a second opinion from Mr Pollock and we travelled to see him in London in August. Our immediate impression was of a surgeon who was willing to engage directly with our son in a relaxed, non-superior manner, and clearly communicate the options available to him. Following consultation with his colleagues, a different form of surgery that would save his shoulder was recommended. We also had issues with completing formalities in Ireland ahead of surgery, and Mr Pollock’s assistant, Frankie, was hugely helpful to us. We travelled to RNOH Stanmore in October, when surgery took place. We were very impressed with Mr Pollock’s communication throughout that day, as it was an eight-hour surgical procedure. Since surgery, we have had issues with Irish orthopaedic follow-up, but Mr Pollock has always been more than willing to be available to us, and we have since travelled back to London to see him. We would highly recommend Mr Pollock to anyone, and our son’s story could have been a very different one had we not met him. Our 13-year old thinks that “Mr Pollock should be knighted as Sir Rob Pollock”!
