Rish was completely honest with me about my injury from the very beginning, even when it wasn't always what I wanted to hear, something I really respected. I had full trust in my surgeon and knew I was in the best hands. My biceps tendon had snapped, and Rish successfully reattached it, so my arm no longer looks wonky. As a double Olympian who was training full-time when the injury happened, I was able to return to competing after the surgery. Not only is Rish exceptional at what he does, but he's also a genuinely wonderful person. He made a very difficult time for an athlete go as smoothly as possible. Thank you Rish! :)

I’ve had 4 surgeries with Rish - 2 elbow and 2 shoulder. As an elite judoka competing at Olympic and World level, my body is my career. Every single time, Rish has got me back to full competition. Since working with him I’ve reached World Number 1, become a 2x Olympian, and won numerous Grand Slam medals. That doesn’t happen without a surgeon you trust 100%. Rish is amazing, passionate, and genuinely lovely to deal with. He explains everything clearly, never rushes, and actually understands the demands of elite sport. The rehab after shoulder surgery is brutal, but knowing I had the best surgeon in my corner made all the difference mentally. His work is the reason I’m still competing and chasing LA 2028. I first met Rish in summer 2023 and it was off the back of bi-lateral shoulder rotator cuff tears from competing in IronMan triathlon. Having had previous surgeries, I was apprehensive for the outcome. Rish listened to me and what I wanted and worked with the Haematology team (to support me). He performed my surgeries and because of complications of the tears and my abuse of my shoulders in the past.... Rish worked with me, over a two year period (Left shoulder was simple !!) but the Right shoulder gave them a lot of head scratching but over 4 surgeries, listening that I still wanted to compete, he gave me a shoulder that is 100% pain free and getting stronger day by day. I will get back to triathlon and I could not be more grateful to him. My outcome was his focus and he stuck with me, I would happily call him a good friend rather than just a surgeon now. One very very happy patient.

Mr Parma’s is a very considerate person and takes your individual needs into account. I had a cortisone injection in my shoulder and it has worked wonders in the interim. I need surgery but cannot have this until my cancer treatment is complete. Top man !

Mr Parmar, discussed my scan results in great detail and clearly explained about the options I had regarding getting the best results. My thinking is always based on trying to heal/repair things without an operation, and Mr Parmar listened to my views before we agreed a way forward

I am so happy I made the decision to have a consultation in Spire hospital. I was in a very difficult position after being off work as a paramedic for nearly two years. I was on an NHS waiting list and I was in fear of losing my job because of the lengthy wait. I decided to see Mr. Parmar privately and he went above and beyond the call of duty to work around his schedule and operate on me a soon as possible and help me return to work. His care, empathy and compassion towards my situation made me feel extremely valued as a patient. With this aside, following our consultation I was filled with confidence over the professionalism, knowledge and vast experience on offer. My operation had been a complete success and I have now returned to work. I will be forever grateful to Mr. Parma for understanding and helping my situation and would also like to thank all of the staff at spire Liverpool for their hard work, my entire experience was amazing from start to finish and I would not hesitate to use Mr. Parmar again in the future.
