From my initial review consultation with Richard Stirling and my subsequent two cataract operations, and through to my final check appointments, my treatment I received was first class. I was given full explanation of what my options were with regard to the 3 types of lenses that are available, and the pros and cons particularly for my selected multi-ocular lens. The result of my surgeries has given me excellent long and short distant sight, which both had deteriorated badly due to cataracts. I would thoroughly recommend Richard Stirling and the staff who assisted him, if someone has the need for ophthalmic treatment. Ian Wright

I had cataract surgery on my right eye in March 2022. Mr Stirling took time to discuss with me what I wanted after surgery - good long sight, good short sight, or good short and long sight. He explained how we could achieve what I wanted - which is good both short and long sight, and he recommended a multi focal lens for the implant. The surgery was quick - no more than 20 minutes, and entirely painless. Like everyone, I was apprehensive about someone operating on my eye, but there was no need. It was very easy. An hour after surgery, I could see quite well out of the operated eye, and within a day I could see very well - far better than before. What a difference - colours are brighter, shapes and figures much clearer. I am having my left eye done next month, and in between I have a check up with Mr Stirling to make sure all is good. It's really transformative.

My daughter is 49 years old and has Down syndrome. We were told that she to have an operation for cataract removal under a general anaesthesia and my heart fell into my boots with worry as she had never had one before. We were put under the care of JCH it due to a total mess up we decided to look elsewhere and that is where Mr Stirling came into our lives. From the very first e mail to him asking if he could help us to then meeting him in person my daughter and I felt so at ease with his friendly approach and the simple way he explained what would happen throughout the operation, we walked away so excited and happy and were no longer worried . He is a great gentleman who answers his own e mails and makes you feel important and is contactable to speak to if you have any worries no problem an issue for him . We can’t say enough about this gentleman to let people see just how grateful we are to have been under his care and would recommend anyone who needs eye surgery to go to him before anybody else you will not be disappointed. The after care you get is also with Mr Stirling who makes sure that you are fully satisfied and well recovered we are one happy family. Big thank you once again you are the best. Love Emma x

I have just had cataracts removed and multifocal lenses fitted by Mr Stirling, and I cannot recommend his services highly enough, the whole process was made so easy from my many questions right through to the surgery itself and I felt i was treated with professionalism throughout, whilst I am still getting used to the multifocal lenses, my vision is already amazing and I would recommend anyone considering surgery to consult Mr Stirling first.
