Mr Mannion Is utterly amazing. I am so lucky that he was able treat me. It was years I was with him and he explained everything every step of the way. He was not in a rush to cut me open and he NEVER ONCE dismissed any of my pains or symptoms, even if scans did not pick up any issues. I felt he always made time for me and when I was in hospital he made sure to check up on me even when it wasn't official rounds. He is world class for sure.

The care I recently received from Richard Mannion has been outstanding. He is a remarkably caring and highly skilled Consultant. I was fortunate to have been his patient in the treatment of a sizeable arachnoid cyst. From my first Consultation, Mr Mannion listened, was compassionate, courteous, calm and very well informed. He explained using scan images how my arachnoid cyst was indenting and displacing the medulla and cerebellum in my brain, making sense of the rather varied symptoms I was experiencing. A follow-on MRI provided scan evidence my cyst was rapidly growing and required neurosurgery. Mr Mannion explained with patience and clarity why surgery was required and discussed in detail how this would be performed. The surgical work Mr Mannion does to improve the lives of his patients is quite extraordinary, yet he is approachable and humble. It can be frightening and overwhelming to face brain surgery, yet I felt completely confident in Mr Mannion’s calm expertise and skill, and grateful that he would be my surgeon. My procedure was very successful, my symptoms having largely disappeared. I am so grateful to Mr Mannion and his team. I couldn’t have asked for better care.

Went to see Richard Mannion for my back issues some 3 to 4 years ago. He is professional, outstanding and an excellent listener. Has recently completed open revision decompression surgery and saved me from serious complications. Would recommend him highly. The care I have received has been amazing and time and care has never been an issue. He is one of the best consultant's I have.
