Operation November 2022: After suffering from Achilles Tendinopathy for 2 years I was recommended to see Mr Freeman due to his skill at performing "Dorsally Based Closing Wedge Osteotomy of the Calcaneus". Mr Freeman explained the operation before and the post operative recovery. Surgery was performed as a day patient at Spire Gatwick Hospital (a great hospital) Mr Freeman and his team were great and the operation went smoothly. Almost no pain and just had a few days of anti inflammatory tablets. I had a follow up 6 weeks later to confirm heel bone had healed and I could start running after a further 8 weeks. I started running 26th March, 2 miles and no pain in heel. I am now running 8 miles long run and 16 miles per week with no pain. The stiffness and soreness is almost completely gone. An amazing operation from a fantastic surgeon.
Would highly recommend Mr Freeman as he easily resolved my issue.
Mr Freeman listened carefully and after X-rays he discussed clearly his suggested operation.
Operation and aftercare went smoothly and I was fully informed of what to expect.
I would be very happy to recommend this surgeon to my friends and family.
Mr Freeman was a caring understanding person who listened to me and understood my problems. He did an excellent job, now pain free can walk, better and my feet look amazing. I trusted him completely, he certainly did an excellent operation, I am so pleased that I can walk properly again. I would certainly recommend him, he is a really nice person that I was able to get on with.
I badly broke my ankle last year and after 2 operations on the NHS, I was still in a lot of discomfort. I decided to get a second opinion and, after researching a few surgeons, I decided to see Mr Freeman at Gatwick Spire. He listened to all of my concerns and, following a CT and MRI scan, proposed a further operation to correct the previous surgery. He was very clear and explained everything to me. I had full confidence in him. I’m now nearly 4 months post op, and I’m pain free and getting back to normal activities. I would 100% recommend him.
