As i write this, i am still on the ward, my C5 discectomy took place yesterday. Apart from a few minor aches, i feel great!! Mr Ashpole is a fantastic surgeon, extremely polite and kind.
Upon awakening, i was taken care of in recovery by a fantastic recovery nurse, and felt totally relaxed and comfortable before being transferred to a ward and being spoilt rotten!!
Many thanks to Mr Ashpole and his team and anyone considering this treatment, don't worry, i am a wimp and found the experience a walk in the park, mainly due to the fact that the Neuro team are the best!!!
