As i write this, i am still on the ward, my C5 discectomy took place yesterday. Apart from a few minor aches, i feel great!! Mr Ashpole is a fantastic surgeon, extremely polite and kind. Upon awakening, i was taken care of in recovery by a fantastic recovery nurse, and felt totally relaxed and comfortable before being transferred to a ward and being spoilt rotten!! Many thanks to Mr Ashpole and his team and anyone considering this treatment, don't worry, i am a wimp and found the experience a walk in the park, mainly due to the fact that the Neuro team are the best!!! Many thanks to all involved, apologies to anyone i missed out!!.

Mr Ashpole is a very friendly, and professional Neurosurgeon. I suffered from Arnold Chiari type 1 malformation and the symptoms got bad enough to require surgery. I was obviously very nervous about any surgery so near my spinal chord but Mr Ashpole completely put my mind at ease and explained how the surgery would be done, the risks, and the benefits. My Posterior Fossa and Upper Cervical Decompression was carried out in January 2017, and during the last year my recovery has been steady. I am extremely happy with my progress and have hardly any symptoms now. I cannot thank Mr Ashpole and his team enough for my care before, during and after my operation and would recommend him to anyone needing Neurosurgery.

Mr Ashpole is a very kind friendly and well spoken neurologist who explained everything to me when I was in QMC he removed my tumour and saved my life I have also seen Mr Ashpole in clinic and also very mannered I cannot thank him enough for all he's done and his team

Well I had to do a review on Mr Ashpole and his team as I was overwhelmed with the care they gave me before during and after surgery. I had to have my c5 disk removed and an artifice one put into place. I can honestly say I was expecting the whole procedure very daunting. The team made me feel very relaxed and calm throughout the process and I also came home a day after surgery with very little pain to my shock. I would highly recommend Mr Ashpole as I have now had no symptoms since surgery. Thank you again to all of you. Libby
