I had an exceptional experience with Dr. Ravi Mallina when I broke my wrist during the busy Christmas period. Despite it being a hectic time, he responded immediately and scheduled an online consultation without delay. From the very beginning, Dr. Ravi was incredibly informative he explained the procedure in detail, walked me through what to expect, and provided clear, reassuring guidance about the recovery process.
He scheduled my surgery promptly, and thanks to his skill and care, it was a complete success. My arm recovered quickly, with minimal discomfort and no pain at all. One of the things that truly stood out was how closely he followed up not only with me directly but also with the physiotherapy team to ensure my healing was on track. His attention to detail and commitment didn’t stop at the surgery; he made sure I felt supported throughout the entire recovery process.
Even the scar from the surgery looks amazing and is healing beautifully something I honestly didn’t expect. Dr. Ravi is truly a remarkable surgeon and caregiver, and I’m so grateful for his professionalism, empathy, and expertise. I can’t recommend him highly enough!
I have been extremely happy with the care I have received from Mr Ravi Mallina. He explained everything very clearly from the outset. He was always available to answer any questions. I had total confidence in him. His person centred care was exceptional. I would definitely recommend him to others.
I found Mr Mallina to be extremely knowledgeable. He was able to get a theatre slot at Cromwell Hospital quickly when I broke several bones in my wrist. After an initial problem which was quickly resolved my operation was a complete success. I am delighted that I now have full movement in my wrist.
I saw Mr Ravi Mallina after the NHS had diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands but were procrastinating over surgery. It was impacting my daily life and restricting my ability to drive. Mr Ravi confirmed the diagnosis and explained his surgery procedure. He operated upon each hand separately, 5 weeks apart (extended due to Xmas). Each procedure lasted 40 minutes and I went home on the same day following a short period of recovery/observation. Afterwards I periodically took paracetamol for pain management and used a plastic bag with rubber bands to keep the bandages dry while showering. After 10 days I returned to have the bandages and stitches removed. There were no complications and Mr Mallina was supportive and professional throughout.
However, the carpal tunnel symptoms have not fully gone but this maybe due to other underlying causes (eg arthritis);
Left:- 95% of pins & needles/numbness gone and 60% of movement/dexterity recovered
Right:- 90% of pins & needles/numbness gone and 50% of movement/dexterity recovered
I saw Mr Ravi Mallina about pain I had been having in both of my thumbs for over a year. The pain was constant and worsened on activities such typing, opening jars or carrying items. It was having a severe impact on my daily life, in particular my work. Mr Ravi quickly diagnosed the issue and then went through my options very clearly. I chose the CMCJ replacement surgery for my left thumb.
The surgery was very quick and I went home on the same day. I had bandages and a sling for the first 14 days and then I had the stitches removed. I already had good movement in my thumb and was able to perform the required thumb exercises. Within 3 weeks from the surgery I was able to fully return to work with almost no pain. I have had 3 physio appointments and have been nearly pain free from 6 weeks after surgery. Mr Ravi and his team have been very supportive and made me feel very relaxed about having the procedure. The pain management provided was excellent, as has been the physio. I am delighted with the surgery, and with Mr Ravi and team. After suffering all those months it seems incredible to have had such an excellent result so quickly.
