I went in for tendon transfer surgery for a wrist ligament injury and the care and attention and surgery from Dr Mallina and all the staff at West Valley Hospital was first class. Dr Mallina gave me the facts and the options in plain language his thoughts and my concerns and hopes were all laid out and discussed for the best possible outcome. Dr Mallina is intelligent and skilled and thoughtful and I was very happy for him to do my surgery. I could not of had a better experience.

The care I received for an injured finger was exceptional. Mr Mallina spent a great deal of time explaining my options and never once hurried me to make a decision. He listened and asked the questions needed to fully understand how the injury would affect me.With great sensitivity and skill he fixed a difficult injury with a very good result. He did his utmost at all times and made every part of the process smooth.I was able to speak with him any time it was helpful and in addition he checked up on my progress regularly. He was highly skilled and conscientious and I am very thankful to have been in his care.

I suffered from carpal tunnel syndrone for five years and when I went for my first consultation had no idea what to expect. Ravi was entirely professional and talked me through my options, along with the risks, in a matter-of-fact way without coming across as patronising or being in a rush to get rid of me. He wasn’t a box ticker either; a few days after my surgery he phoned to ask how I was and I explained I needed the bandages changed.  It turned out that day he was working in a hospital just a stones throw from where I work, so he arranged to see me without having to go through the usual red tape. I really have nothing bad to say about my experience with Ravi.  I made a full recovery and the pins and needles in my right hand have gone like I never had it in the first place.  When it's time to have my left hand done, I know who I'll be contacting!

Couldn’t be more impressed with Ravi Mallina’s exceptional care. One broken wrist and two Dupuytrens operations over the last 3-4 months has been full on - but Ravi has given 5* support in every respect, from being flexible on scheduling, to staying in touch etc. Most importantly, his surgery has been immaculate and fast healing, with minimal scarring, I couldn’t be happier with the treatment and help - just hope I can track him down in a few years’ time when the Dupuytrens returns. Wish I’d found him years ago - a true professional.

I really couldn't have been luckier being assigned Dr Ravi. I had a missed scaphoid fracture, and given the quite bad prospects patients in this scenario often have, I was extremely concerned. He quickly identified the issue, and clearly explained the different types of surgeries that I could choose from. Not only did Ravi do an excellent job of the fracture reduction, but he did so in a manner in which only 3 months after the operation, I am able to return to sport climbing and training (including press-up variations which I was unable to perform before the op) 4x week with minimal pain. This was thanks to his clear guidance regarding my choice of surgery and the recovery prospects. He promptly replied to all my emails, gave me recommendations on Physiotherapy and answered all my questions during what was quite a stressful time period. I am especially grateful that he put up with my constant questions and most likely misused medical terminology as I was attempting to learn from medical journals as much as I could about this fracture... Most importantly, he seemed genuinely concerned, and remained optimistic throughout the process, which for a serial-worrier like me was practically the one thing keeping me sane! I couldn't be happier with the results.
