I was so lucky to have Mr Barod as my listed surgeon for my procedure. From the moment we first met with the initial consultation I felt he was the man for me and it certainly proved to be the case. Talking me through my extensive, 'Robotic Nephro-ureterectomy' procedure, I felt totally relaxed and filled with confidence, knowing that I had one of the best surgeons in the country. Ravi Barod has a great 'bedside' manner and he took me through every step of the operation and was there at my side during and after recovery answering every query that I had; and there were many. Ravi was also very considerate; calling my wife to inform her of my progress post surgery and putting her mind at rest. Even after my discharge from hospital, I had phone calls from Ravi, checking on my progress and was a great source of comfort after such an invasive procedure. Also, I hasten to add, Mr Barod has a brilliant support team at the 'Royal Free' in the shape of David Cullen and Marta Marchetti, whose organisation was seamless and impeccable. In closing, I would recommend Mr Ravi Barod for any appropriate surgery - you are in very safe and well experienced hands
