I have just been discharged by Mr Mohan after he fitted a new knee in March 2023.
I can only say what a great job he did. The recovery was a lot faster than the previous one in April 2021. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Rama Mohan to anyone who needs a new knee.

I have nothing but praise for this wonderful gentleman, from the the first consultation, my surgery and the follow up appointment, he was kind, he listened to me, and he explained everything to me. I know if I ever needed another procedure done I could only let Mr. mohan perform it.

Doctor Mohan explained the procedure (knee replacement) in layman’s terms explained what could go wrong/right. He seems a very confident and proficient surgeon and I would recommend him most highly, excellent bedside manner.

6 months ago I had a total knee replacement carried out by Mr Mohan. I am very pleased with the outcome and was able to pedal my exercise bike 7 weeks after surgery. I had previously had my other knee replaced over 3 years ago and after that surgery it took 7 months to be able to pedal my exercise bike.
I found Mr Mohan very direct( not abrupt) with his manner when talking to me about my procedure, I liked this as he seemed very focused on what he was going to do and very professional. When I showed concern about the possible outcome of my procedure due to my previous experience on my other knee, he reassured me and I agreed to be positive.
Mr Mohan is clearly a very skilled surgeon and after my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend him to friends and family. Many Thanks Mr Mohan!

Great service from Mr Mohan.
Operation went perfectly with only limited post operative discomfort. Having discussed this with Mr Mohan he arranged a future appointment for possible follow up treatment. As it turned out this was not required. I’m very pleased with my treatment and the outcome.

After qualifying in 1988, Ram Mohan completed his postgraduate training in Orthopaedic Surgery in India in 1990. In the UK, he undertook his Higher Surgical Training in Glasgow Royal Infirmary and other hospitals in the West of Scotland Orthopaedic training program. He completed a year of Fellowship training in Adult Reconstructive and Lower limb Arthroplasty from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, and a further Fellowship in Trauma and Pelvic Reconstruction with Professor Ganz from Berne, Switzerland.
Appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2002 at North Manchester General Hospital with clinical practice mainly focused on the treatment of all aspects of Hip and Knee Arthritis including Primary and Revision Arthroplasty and Arthroscopic Surgery.
He specialises in surgery for young patients with hip arthritis, undertaking both Cemented and Uncemented total hip replacements including ceramic on ceramic bearing and metal on Crosslinked Polyethylene bearings. He also specialises in complex reconstructions including revision hip and knee Arthroplasty surgery and custom-made hip replacements. He also undertakes MRI-based personalized total knee replacements. He also specialises in joint preserving surgery for hip arthritis and minimally invasive total hip replacements. He is trained in undertaking MAKO and NAVIO Robotic Hip and Knee Replacements
His research interests mainly center on the assessment of clinical outcomes following hip and Knee Replacement Surgery.
He is a member of the British Orthopaedic Association (BOA), British Hip Society (BHS), and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS, international affiliate member)
