It was no surprise to me that my cataract operation, and the pre- and post-operation assessments were performed with the utmost professional care. Mr Tailor's professional competence were matched by his skilful approachability, so that I immediately felt relaxed and confident in his presence. What is not always found in doctors of his status was his surprisingly friendly attitude, and his willingness to engage briefly in a two-way conversation on non-medical subjects that are important to both of us: at that point, he turned into a 'real', 'ordinary person', someone just like me, whom I could automatically trust! I particularly appreciated the generous impartiality with which he guided me into a discussion about how desirable or not it would be for me to have another operation soon. Thank you, Mr Tailor
