Had the pleasure of being operated on by this wonderful man. From my initial Meeting to post op follow ups, he’s been brilliant. Really put me at ease. I am forever in debt to his and his team at woodlands.

This consultant totally depressed me! He was talking about losing weight all the time; said I was too young to have a hip and knee operation, but would need one in five years, if I didn’t lose weight. He said to go to Slimming World or Weight Watchers and I have to get my BMI down, (which has to be below 40, before any operation is considered. This shouldn’t be too difficult - but he made me feel really inadequate! He wasn’t listening about family history, genetics, my under-active thyroid, shift working/eating late; (work from 2-9 pm - often without a break in the notorious hospitality industry). He took nothing into consideration - in fact the NHS as a whole, doesn’t listen - just dictates and judges!
