Every part of my procedure was explained in Extreme detail to put me at ease in my opinion Dr Thakrar went above and beyond to Assure my comfort and rehabilitation and I we’ll definitely be returning to him for my next knee replacement.

Mr Thakrar has got to be one of the best Consultants I have dealt with. (Unfortunately I have met a few in my time). Mr Thakrar's ability to listen and interpret my symptoms into medical terms for the layman (very much me) is probably second to one. I was fortunate to meet Mr Thakrar two years ago (2019) and we agreed that conservative treatment would be the right cause of action. Unfortunately an incident at work caused me to seek medical assistance again this year 2021 and I was delighted to discover Mr Thakrar actually remembered me (even with a face mask on). The injury had been made worse and so Mr Thakrar arranged the relevant investigations and made his decisions with my agreement based on the evidence from the X-rays and MRI. At all stages Mr Thakrar was comfortable answering all my questions and showing me the relevant images so I could understand the detail within my joint. If you are reading this and looking for a polite, decent and talented consultant, then look no further than Mr Thakrar.

Excellent! The only improvement would be to have a high level written summary in terms of how the operation went as couldn’t remember any of the post op conversation due to being groggy from the general anaesthetic.
