Mr Thakrar carried out a partial knee replacement for my 91 year old grandfather, he's a first class surgeon and did a fantastic job. From our initial consultation to the operation and final consultation he was great, extremely patient, listened to any concerns and put our minds to ease. 7 weeks ago Mr Thakrar operated on me providing a total knee replacement at One Hatfield Hospital. The treatment I received was excellent from Mr Thakrar and the nursing/ reception staff. The knee is healing well and I look forward to normal life returning asap. I would recommend Mr Thakrar to anyone thinking of a similar operation.

I recently underwent knee replacement surgery and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. My surgery was conducted by Mr Raj Thakrar. He is a first class surgeon. The care, advice and attention to detail has been excellent from start to finish. Raj clearly cares about his patients and at all times I knew he had my best interests in mind. He is very approachable, polite and professional ensuring I had full peace of mind both before and post surgery. I couldn’t recommend him highly enough.

First class from initial consultation through to pre-op, operation itself, post op and all the way through 6 and 12 week follow up X-rays and assessments. Nothing but praise and thanks to Mr Thakrar and his team for his courteous, reassuring manor but with utter professionalism and knowledge to achieve the exact results set out in our initial consultation. I was so pleased with the results of my left leg Osteotomy, I had no hesitation in going back to repeat the whole process again on my right leg! so multiply above review by two and surely no better endorsement than that!.

Following initial consultations, scans and x-rays, Mr. Thakrar recommended a partial knee replacement. The surgery was carried out one afternoon and I was home the next day. The intervention has been very successful for me, with no pain from the joint anymore, and the swelling and bruising due to operation is reducing fast. The wound has healed exceptionally well, and very neatly! I found Mr. Thakrar to be very professional, advising a suitable intervention for my difficulties, keeping me informed, listening to me, and managing expectations throughout. The care provided overnight was very good, the nursing staff, excellent. The only suggestion I can offer as to how to improve my experience, was the pump for the "air sock" put on over night, was very noisy! But no fault of Mr Thakrar or the nursing staff!

Mr Thakrar looked after me throughout my ACL reconstruction surgery. He boosted my confidence in the surgery, explained the full process from start to finish, very professional and comforting. Just completed my follow-up after a successful surgery, at the hands of Mr Thakrar. Would highly recommend Mr Thakrar to anyone. Very pleased with the journey I have taken under his superb care.

My left knee joint was replaced by this doctor. He did a very thorough job and my knee has been perfect since the operation. He listened to the problem very keenly and then went about doing the operation while still asking me if I had any pain or difficulties during the treatment. Mr Thakrar was extremely helpful and fully explained the options for treating my knee ailment. He was cautious in not just prescribing a surgical option but also discussed various treatments with me in detail and the consequences.
