Mr Al-Mahfoudh is a very approachable consultant who is easy to talk to and understand.
He recently carried out a disc decompression with Coflex implant for me, he explained the procedure and showed me the MRI detail together with the possible benefits and risks.
The operation itself as a patient was very straight forward, general anaesthetic, operation and an overnight stay to monitor recovery.
Pain was minimal, only needing limited pain relief for some 48 hours and mobilised completely with care and a back brace for 6 weeks straight from going home.
Mr Al-Mahfoudh had a brief discussion in theatre with me before being sedated and came to see me the following day, a Saturday confirming the operation had gone as planned.
His follow up care and thought for his patient throughout has been very good.
