Mr Prasanna Epaliyanage

Mr Epaliyanage is, in my opinion, a wonderful man and a top class surgeon. I was fortunate enough to be under his care this past year for my spinal condition. He was very clear and confident in giving me information, he made me feel as though I was his most important patient. The care I was given during my surgery and subsequent recovery was second to none. When I first met Mr Epaliyanage, I was not mobile and has no feeling in my feet and lower legs. When I came out of surgery, I was amazed to find I could wiggle my toes and even had a return of feeling! The whole team working with/under Mr Epaliyanage were excellent. The patient care and dedication of the staff was brilliant and I can't praise or thank them enough. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Epaliyanage and his team. I have had my active life reinstated and I can enjoy my life and family again.

I had surgery performed by another Surgeon in December 2015 that did not go very well. In February 2016 I was contacted by Prasanna to be told that he felt he no option but to re-operate. Prasanna made me feel so at ease and he was friendly and so re-assuring. I trust Prasanna implicitly and find him so easy to speak to and voice my feelings and concerns.

Brilliant ,cool, unfazed. Successfully removed large brain tumour when others might not have done. Excellent recovery with no unexpected or lasting effects. Straight talking, skilled and given us all precious extra time.

His name is so long so we call him Mr E. I was in pain for many years and have seen two neurosurgeons before but both said I did not need an operation . But Mr E listened to me and found my problem and operated on my back and gave me a new life. I am ever grateful to him. He was very professional and when I was upset about previous surgeons, he told me ' doctors are as human as patients' and he mentioned that if I went to 10 spinal surgeons I might get at least 4-5 different opinions on my condition, he fixed my problem without putting screws in my back! I recommend him for back operations.
