When my son broke his leg turned out he had a rare bone condition we were transferred to Mr Buddhdev. I said my son walked funny. The doctor before just ignored me saying it was because he had wore a cast!!!! Mr Buddhdev listened to me done the relivent xrays and realised he was knocked knee. After a small operation that was explained to myself and my son. Mr Buddhdev operated inserting some plates into the top of his shin bone. Then left him to grow!!!! Amazingly 9 months later the plates have now been removed and my son has amazingly straight legs!!!! I can not thank Mr Buddhdev and his amazing team enough.
Mr Buddhdev and Helen have a wonderful repore between each other that makes you feel at ease and he involves us as a family even though its stressful and scary. We are made to always to feel welcome they make us laugh. Keep us informed of everything that is happening. Thank u Mr Buddhdev and Helen.
An amazing thorough Dr. We were so very lucky to have him.
My daughter at 3 weeks old was diagnosed with DDH in her right hip after a scan... Dr Buddhdev and his assistant Helen explained that she would need to go in to a pavlik harness for up to 3 months.. This news was both shocking and unsettling as no one wants to see their child like this. We were given great assurance by both Dr Buddhdev and Helen this was the best course of action so her hip could form and heel in the correct position.
Nothing was too much trouble for either of them as they were always at the end of a email should we need them no matter what time or day we required their assistance.
She is now 2 and and she has just been signed off by them as the treatment worked as it should.
We owe a great debt to both as had this not been spotted at such an early age she may of needed operations and had issues later in life.
We are expecting another child and we have moved away from the area yet we have requested that our next is under the supervision of both Dr Buddhdev and Helen should we require it which they are more than happy to do.
The passion they show for their profession is incomparable and they are a credit to it.
He also loves a loud pair of socks.
Also she won't use trampolines.
My son was born with both of his hips displaced and Dr Buddhdev immediately asked to see him following an ultrasound at only a few days old - He knew that by starting the treatment early this would give the greatest chance for a more favourable outcome.
He and the CNS, Helen were absolutely amazing, both the way they helped us deal with a very unsettling situation emotionally and with the manner in which they kept us fully informed about the road ahead.
A few months went by (more than originally planned due to COVID) before it was time for my son to have his operation. Dr Buddhdev explained to us that to increase the chances of the op being a success that he would like to propose that our boy goes into something called a Gallow’s traction for 5days pre-op (which if you don’t know what it is, you google it, a quite disturbing contraption to inflict your 8month old baby to.) Despite the disconcerting look of the contraption, the warmth, belief, knowledge and compassion that Dr Buddhev displayed as he explained our options and gave us his advice, developed our Trust in the treatment he had planned.
The op went extremely well, with both hips fully relocated and my boys development has since been fantastic.
The outcome of the op being so incredible means that we will always hold a huge slice of gratitude for Dr Buddhev and Helen. - Added to that is the incomparable compassion and friendless throughout the journey that they have shown. Absolutely first class.
Both my children were born with a bone condition that means we have seen a few consultants over the years. However we feel we have won the lottery with Mr Buddhdev and his nurse Helen Gille. From day one we received excellent care and he actually listen to what the children needed and took action and because of this my children have been able to lead a typical teenage life. Multiple surgeries and appointments later and we are still to this day greeted with a friendly smile and feel my children's needs always come first. Highly recommend as a consultant and his side kick nurse Helen, we as a family would be utterly lost without them and am grateful they came into our lives. When I ask my children what they think of him they both said he is the best doctor they have ever had, he is never grumpy and always listens.
