My consultation by telephone (Covid restricted) with Mr Chitsabesan pre-op was thorough and gave me great confidence in the procedure, with different surgical methods considered to repair an inguinal hernia which had become enlarged. He explained carefully the likely recovery time and possible discomfort. The surgery in York Nuffield went well and he spent time with me beforehand carefully answering my questions. My recovery from what he told me had been a complex procedure has gone exceptionally well and after 4 weeks there is minimal swelling and no pain. The follow-up call showed his continuing understanding of my concerns and his reassurances about the likely final recovery time I found confirmed my confidence in him. I would recommend him to anyone with a similar problem and am very grateful to him for everything he has done.
