From being diagnosed in 2012 after a routine mamogram I was devastated to have to undergo breast surgery. Mr. P. Kneeshaw performed my operation within 6 weeks, and after chemotherapy (which wasn't very nice) and radiotherapy (which was ok). I had reconstruction work - which is still ongoing. I cannot thank Mr. Kneeshaw and the team in Ward 16 and the Breast Care Clinic enough for the care I have received to date. They all made me feel quite special and nothing was any trouble to them. I feel sure this excellent care & treatment will see me through the completion of my reconstruction. Brenda Thompson

The support and understanding was fantastic. All my questions and anxieties were dealt with clearly and positively. I was given a options which were explained in good detail without pressure to make a quick decision. I always felt confident in the care I received and what felt like a traumatic experience was reduced by Mr Kneeshaw's excellent manner. The whole team were excellent.

Mr Peter Kneeshaw is an amazing surgeon who is so skilled and so very caring. I have had Breast Cancer twice and then I discovered I had the BRCa gene. This meant I had to undergo risk reduction surgery and it was Mr Kneeshaw who saw me (and my husband) through this difficult time. It was at my first appointment that I soon realised that although this was going to be a huge ordeal, having a double mastectomy with reconstruction, I was in safe caring hands. i was given so much time to discuss, weigh up options and view photographs of previous success stories. I am pleased to say that my operation was a success and this was followed by excellent after care. I was just recently under Mr Kneeshaw's care again as I underwent bilateral nipple reconstruction. Once again I am indebted to Mr Kneeshaw as to what he has done for me. It goes without saying that he is particularly skilled but it is his kind caring manner which supports you emotionally!

Dr Kneeshaw was fully professional in all aspects of his diagnosis. His manner was perfect in understanding my concerns and fears and his assurances made me feel relieved from the first appointment to the second at Castle Hill Hospital.

When I was told I had breast cancer I was devastated. I was only 29 and not only did I have to think about my treatment plan I had to face the realistic prospect I may never be able to have children following chemotherapy. Dr. Kneeshaw was absolutely fantastic, he calmly&confidently talked me through everything that would happen & organised and planned for everything I would or could possibly need. He thought of everything & I knew instantly that I could trust him. Throughout this awful experience he has been brilliant, giving me confidence & support & I am very lucky to be under his care. If it wasn't for him I don't think I'd have coped as well as I have so far.
