I chose Mr Leeder to carry out my hernia surgery based on his experience and am very pleased I did. He put me at ease at the first consultation & this carried on until the final "sign off" last week. Although in the end I could not have the surgery laparoscopically due to a previous laparoscopic operation he agreed to carry out the operation as open surgery. This went well with Mr Leeder spending a fair amount of time with me just before the op explaining exactly what would happen and then came again after surgery.

Mr Leeder did my operation in May. Could not have been done any better. You have a long list of potential side effects, I had NONE. Nothing turned black, nothing was swollen only light bruising around incisions. etc......Was given 3 levels of pain relief on discharge and only used the lightest, which were paracetamol. Cannot see how it could have been done any better by anyone else in the country. Totally faultless operation.

Having decided to go private for inguinal hernia surgery, and in the absence of a recommended surgeon, I searched on Nuffield Health. Mr Leeder looked to be a strong choice for a laparoscopic operation, and indeed this turned out to be the case. I found Mr Leeder to be professional, easy to talk to, answering all my questions and giving a reassuring confidence in the operation. The care, attention and consideration received during my one-day hospital stay from nurses, Mr Leeder and the Consultant Anaesthetist was excellent and of the highest calibre in my view. I did not need to take any medication following the operation, but was adequately supplied with a variety of painkillers from light to strong in nature. The tiny wounds were never a bother and seemed to heal very quickly, within days. I progressively returned to exercise over 4 weeks and felt fully recovered within 6 weeks. I would have no hesitation recommending Mr Leeder and the Nuffield Hospital for this procedure.

Mr Leeder is one of the most proficient and caring doctors I have ever met. He carried out my operation very professionally without any problems. My recovery has been very successful. At the Post - op review with Mr Leeder gave me plenty of constructive information on what I can and can't do to ensure that I do not have any problems with my hernia repair. Most importantly I took note that any normal physical activities I do will have to be built up gradually so as not to cause any further problems.
