An excellent consultant. He takes time to clearly explain options for treatment, answers questions and gives the patient time to make a decision. I would thoroughly recommend Mr Hamilton.

Mr Hamilton was recommended by a Physio at Spire St Anthonys. I had 2 consultations with him regarding removal of hardware from my foot post Lisfranc surgery as I had reached a point where the pain and mobility were not improving. Mr Hamilton gave me a really balanced view and pros and cons of the procedure. I felt he was extremely knowledgeable and thorough, far in front of the other surgeon I had seen previously for this injury. This gave me the confidence to go ahead with the procedure. The surgery was straightforward and follow up consultation went well. At last I feel on the road to recovery.

I first met Mr Hamilton at St Helier Hospital as an emergency patient after falling and breaking both my ankle and leg over a year ago. He and his team explained the various options of surgery with a back up plan due to the severity of the break and after successful surgery I had regular appointments with Mr Hamilton. He was always clear about the long term effects and timelines involved for recovery. Over a year later I had to have the metal plates and pins removed at St Anthony's, Mr Hamilton went through all the options, risks with me. I have always found him someone who listens to you responds to your questions and provides honest feedback. I can honestly say that I had absolute faith in him

Having had Mr Hamilton very successfully repair my broken ankle back in 2017, I was delighted that he was also able to carry out surgery for the removal of my bunion. As before he goes into great detail to let you know exactly what was going to take place with the surgical procedure, making sure I understood exactly what was involved. Mr Hamilton is also very good at giving his patients a very realistic time scale regarding the healing process so you come away with a very clear picture but is also very encouraging to get you moving and active again as soon as recovery permits. He has a very friendly personality and gives you the time to ask, and have explained, any questions. I would certainly recommend him to anyone needing help within his area of expertise.

I was referred to Paul after breaking my ankle skiing. He was very happy to set up a Zoom call while I was still in Switzerland to review the x rays I had received locally, and to advise on immediate actions. After my return, he confirmed no surgery was required and advised a programme of care and rehabilitation. I found him very approachable and helpful throughout, and have thankfully just been signed off. I would certainly recommend him to anyone with similar injuries.
