I had excellent supportive professional and dedicated care throughout the whole process including surgery from Mr Drake and I have not got the words to express my gratitude to the team and the NHS for the treatment I have benefitted from. Due to the pandemic I had the cancer sometime but once the referal was made everything was impressively swift.The wonderful dermatoligist I saw showed care and thought in refering me for the appropriate treatment needed with Mr Drake and I am truly grateful to both her knowledge and expertise and judgement in who it would be appropriate to refer me to .My concerns were listened to with understanding and were responded to with consideration.Mr Drake and his team were excellent- he is an excellent skilled surgeon and I have healed well after the operation -with a much better result than I was expecting -which is of course due to his skill. Ihope management appreciates what a good team of dedicated professionals you have there at Elm Grove.

I HAVE NOTHING BUT GENUINE THANKS FOR THIS DOCTOR FOR REMOVING THE GROWTH FROM MY EAR WITH CARE AND GREAT UNDERSTANDING OF ME BEING OVER 85 AND WAS BUT COMPLETELY AT EASE WITH THE CALM AND EXPLANATIONS I WAS GIVEN THANKS TO HIM AND ALL THE TEam.

I had not previously met Mr. Drake and did not know what to expect but, having met him, I found him to be very pleasant and he told me exactly what he was going to do for me at that visit. In surgery he was very efficient as were the whole team. The chat, during surgery, put me at ease and the whole experience was very relaxed. I have had to wait 4 weeks for a biopsy result which was a little testing. The biopsy result from my first operation took only two and a half weeks so this extra wait was worrying. I understand that there will be a follow-up appointment and I await a date for that. I am concerned that several other scabby spots on my head could worsen and I want a dermatologist to look at those on my next visit. Never-the-less, I am very pleased with the speed and service I have received at Brighton General Hospital over several visits.

Mr Drake 'phone me in advance of my operation to let me know what he would be doing and whether or not I had any questions, which I did and he answered. He also verbally wen through the notice of how to prepare for the visit and to get transport to get me home. Mr Drake's approach was very much to put me at ease and to assure me that all would be well.
