I was thorough in my search for an orthopaedic surgeon to carry out a total hip replacement and was impressed by Mr Patrick Lusty’s profile.
From the very first consultation he exhibited experience, confidence and humility which was extended throughout my procedure.
My experience was first class and credit should be given to Mr Patrick Lusty and his entire team both during the operation and aftercare at the Spire Wellesley hospital.
I am now 6½ weeks post operation and despite some pain for a few nights immediately after the operation I am now pain free, walking unaided and looking forward to resuming normal activity.
I would highly recommend Mr Patrick Lusty to anyone seeking a consultant orthopaedic surgeon and have already done so.

From my first meeting with.Mr.Lusty I felt he was entirely honest and straight forward.Diagnisis was quick clear and accurate.
Throughout my stay in the Wellesley all those involved with my treatment and care were totally professional.Their calm measured responces were exactly what is needed by someone undergoing surgery. My after care has been exactly the same. From the people who kept the rooms clean right through to Mr.Lusty I experienced only kindness.I genuinely can think of nothing that any of them could do to improve the experience. I would recommend them to anyone considering treatment under Mr.Lusty.

I was very pleased as pain following the hip replacement went immediately. I was walking unaided at day 3 and 99% back to normal at 7 weeks

A big thank you for the excellent treatment I received from Mr Lusty when I had my knee replacement in September. He is kind, efficient & listened to my concerns. He is extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of my condition & recovery.

I have been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon since 2007. I completed international fellowships specialising in joint replacement and sports medicine surgery. I am an expert in hip and knee surgery.
I specialise in hip and knee surgery. I perform minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, revision (redo) joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. I also practice soft tissue knee surgery such as arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), and arthroscopic anterior cruciate reconstruction surgery, and meniscal (cartilage) repair and resection.
I have been running a busy consultant practice for over ten years. I have performed more than 2000 primary joint replacements (hips and knees) and more than 200 revision joint replacements (redo hips and knees) on the national joint registry. My outcomes outperform the expected in terms of revision rates on the national joint register and patient function from Amplitude outcome data (from data of over 1000 patients at Spire Wellesley) I perform many knee arthroscopic procedures including anterior cruciate reconstructions.
