Mr Lusty is an excellent orthopaedic surgeon, who is both professional and caring. He explained everything in great detail before and after my hip replacement. I felt completely confident in his abilities and was not disappointed. As six weeks post op I am back being able to do everything I want to.
On my first consultation with him he said that he aims to perform a " forgettable hip replacement" meaning when everything is healed it would be difficult to remember which one it was. I can honestly say even after such a short time I feel he has achieved just that!!
I would certainly recommend him without hesitation to family, friends and anyone needing a hip replacement.

Mr lusty is a no-nonsense kind of consultant, he wont say what you want to hear he will tell you the truth about the best way to go forward with any treatment that is necessary.
Both of my knees have now been replaced by mr lusty and the care and professionalism by him and his team has been amazing. i would definitely recommend mr lusty to anyone wanting orthopaedic surgery.

Having decided to push ahead with a possible knee replacement, I sort out a surgeon who I thought would be good for me. I chose Mr Lusty from a number of surgeons operating out of my local Spire Hospital due to his well informed and upbeat personal profile.
I am so pleased with the advice, treatment and aftercare given by Mr Lusty that I definitely give him 5 stars all round.
He listened to my initial worries and took the process forward slowly, which I found very reassuring.
During my operation and my short stay in hospital, he was very clear and concise on what I would be having done and what my long term gaols should be, and he was firm and definite on my rehab.
Overall, He was outstanding in his care and treatment of me, and I fully recommend him to anyone thinking of having a knee replacement.

From start to finish Mr Lusty has been wonderful, it’s the second operation I have had done by him and I am very pleased, his manner is first class and I found him really helpful and kind.

I have been a consultant orthopaedic surgeon since 2007. I completed international fellowships specialising in joint replacement and sports medicine surgery. I am an expert in hip and knee surgery.
I specialise in hip and knee surgery. I perform minimally invasive joint replacement surgery, revision (redo) joint replacement surgery of the hip and knee. I also practice soft tissue knee surgery such as arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), and arthroscopic anterior cruciate reconstruction surgery, and meniscal (cartilage) repair and resection.
I have been running a busy consultant practice for over ten years. I have performed more than 2000 primary joint replacements (hips and knees) and more than 200 revision joint replacements (redo hips and knees) on the national joint registry. My outcomes outperform the expected in terms of revision rates on the national joint register and patient function from Amplitude outcome data (from data of over 1000 patients at Spire Wellesley) I perform many knee arthroscopic procedures including anterior cruciate reconstructions.
