I caught my hand in a chop saw which included severing the tendons across the back of my hand and Dr Gillespie has done wonders with it. Dr Gillespie kept me informed of what was going to happen, the possible limitations of what could be achieved etc. I got the majority of the movement back in my hand bar after the initial operation and some physio. The ring finger had an issue which was to do with scar tissue and my knuckle. Dr Gillespie advised on what he could do with regards to a second operation and I believe the outcome was beyond his and my expectations. I have nothing but thanks and am in great debt to Dr Gillespie for the wonders he has done to get my hand back working again and also the care and concern he has shown in getting me back to almost new. I was able to start drawing again after about 3 months of physio and now 6 months later am drawing, driving and working again. I have nothing but admiration for the work Dr Gillespie and his colleagues at Addenbrooke's hospital have done for me.
