Mr Jethwa helped me to understand the function of my adrenal glands, and clearly explained why one of the them needed to be removed. He was also very clear about what signs I could expect should the remaining gland decide not to function adequately. My surgery was fast, efficient and successful. Post-op care has been super and now all I need are periodic blood tests to check my cortisol levels. Thank you, Mr.Jethwa. Claire Benn, Betchworth, Surrey

Mr Jethwa was honest and straight with me and told me what I needed to do to have a successful surgery. When I lost the weight that I needed to do Mr jethwa was so pleased and it showed at our next appointment. Mr Jethwa like any doctor or surgeon is faced with hundreds of patients year round and some of those often need to be told they need to do something - loose weight, give up, give smoking, give up drinking, do more exercise, etc... I was one of the some to be told I had to loose weight, Mr Jethwa delivered the message very honestly which for me at the time was gut wrenching, and like many I had every excuse and reason as to why it was so hard for me to loose weight. I left my appointment feeling a Bit sorry for myself and wanted sulk in a corner however my fiance came to my appointment with me and when we left she already had a plan in her head for us to go food shopping as she had heard of the Micheal Mosely blood sugar diet so begrudgingly I started the diet and read the book and stuck to it. Two months later I returned to the hospital to meet Mr Jethwa but was greeted by his assistant instead and as he checked the notes he kept checking and questioning the before and current weight, I had lost 20kilos so the assistant called in Mr Jethwa and his reaction to my weight loss was excitement and pride, he was truly and genuinely happy with me absorbing his message and acting on it that he booked me straight in for surgery. Mr Jethwa is a great surgeon and i felt as though i had earned his respect, he regularly checked on me after surgery as I stayed in for a few days afterwards, he made sure the care and the wards I was staying were appropriate to provide the correct level of care.
