I was referred to Mr Athanasias for abdominal surgery as part of a complex joint case with a colorectal surgeon. The surgery uncovered some surprises which had not been visible during pre-operative investigations. Thankfully, due to Mr Athanasias' careful and skilful surgery, it was possible for everything to still be done as a laparoscopy and, to my relief, without the need for a stoma. The visible scarring is very minimal (approx. 1cm on each of the four incision sites).
