After having a kidney removed at The Royal Marsden hospital, I developed two surgical hernias. When my wife and I first visited Dr Moussa we were quickly settled and felt confident that we were going to receive great care. Dr Moussa explained the procedures, drawing clear to understand diagrams and instilled real confidence. Dr Moussa gave realistic timelines and clear next steps. The whole process followed to that plan. I had regular check ins pre surgery and Dr Moussa again ran through everything clearly on the morning of surgery. I had follow up appointments with Dr Moussa post surgery until he was happy that the healing process was complete. Myself and my wife are very appreciative of the time and care given by Dr Moussa

Mr Moussa made me feel at ease prior to my surgery. He explained the procedure in a way that I would understand and made me feel reassured. He apologised profusely for my 4 year wait for my operation. At my first appointment on 29th June he stated my operation was urgent and on the 21st August I had the procedure and now feel fantastic. My children have said they have their Mum back now. At my follow up appointment on 28th September I couldn’t thank him enough for giving me my life back.

I was admitted to Watford A&E Hospital with severe pain in my abdomen . I was subjected to a CT scan & it was confirmed I had appendicitis . I was then in the care of Mr Osama Moussa , of whom I had a glimpse in the operating theatre. The next morning he visited me , in my bed , simply explained , where I was when he started the surgery with his amazing team , & where I was health wise post operation. He explained to me simply what I should do , to help myself to follow up his successful operation . He answered every question , I had & in simple terms. I am so pleased he reviewed my progress after three weeks , post op at the St Albans City Hospital. He with his , experience & expertise has assured I am rapidly returning to my normal life . He is a charming down to earth medical professional , in his chosen field, with his patients , care in mind . Wish him all the very best . Many Thanks Best Regards Kanagasabai Kulenthiran

I was referred to Osama for a Nissen Fundoplication through the NHS. The assistance and direction given by Osama's support team through the initial discussions about my condition and in the lead up to the surgery date was great . The surgery was performed within a very reasonable timescale although at a time of significant upheaval in the NHS with strikes etc. The pre-op discussion with Osama was informative and reassuring. The surgery was performed swiftly and with no complications and followed within a few hours by Osama coming onto the ward to check on progress and just summarise what had been achieved and the next steps. My recovery has been good and I have had two follow up sessions with Osama since the surgery to check on progress (at 4 weeks and 3 months). Additionally I am reassured that if there are any concerns and questions then Osama has confirmed he is happy to take a call from me direct to seek input or advice without having to first go through my GP. Osama is obviously skilled as a surgeon in this 'GI' area but additionally and importantly has a positive 'bed side' manner being informative, reassuring, and relaxed in his discussions and communications. I particularly appreciated his 'down to earth' approach and genuine interest in me and what the surgery had achieved for me. The procedure has been life changing in a positive way for me and whilst there are some changes that I will need to make in my lifestyle these are minor compared to the significant benefits to my quality of life.
