Lack of compassion and arrogance - the previous reviewer has hit the nail on the head.

My wife had a cervical bleed on her 32nd week of pregnancy. Upon admission to Wexham Park she was given a scan by another doctor, who determined that the cause was due to a separation of cervical membranes. She was admitted overnight, and visited by Mr Eniola on the following day. Without examining her, or requesting any additional tests, he advised that the bleed was due to a placental abruption, and that the baby would need to be delivered as an emergency that day. My wife was distraught, and when I questioned as to whether this was opinion or fact, he declared that it "was a fact". After consoling my wife, I spoke to the attending midwife, and asked why Mr Eniola had not made any reference to the scan we were given the day before, which gave a likely cause for the bleed. She admitted that she has not seen Mr Eniola read the notes, but that she would ask him to return and explain. He did not return, so we never received an explanation. As it turned out, what he told us was wrong, and the original scan was correct. I can appreciate that doctors are busy, and he was possibly embarrassed at not having read the notes, but I found his arrogance and lack of compassion alarming. We raised this concern during subsequent appointments with different consultants, and it was subtly suggested that we make a formal complaint, but we were so focused on other things during the final trimester of our first child that we just didn't get around to it. My wife is ow pregnant with our second child, and I wouldn't let this doctor anywhere near her again.
