I found Mr Templeton-Ward to be very approachable and clearly an experienced specialist in his field who is very much up-to-date with modern orthopaedic techniques. He took me through the MRI images of my knee scan and clearly explained the nature of the injury and the various treatment options. I felt completely confident in committing to partial knee replacement surgery under his expertise and, ten weeks on, I am delighted with the outcome. I am walking normally and the knee already feels quite strong. I offer my sincerest thanks to Mr Templeton-Ward for restoring me to an active lifestyle

For many years I'd put off the idea of a knee replacement because the operation frightened me, but after speaking with Mr Templeton-Ward I feel much more confident and ready to take on the challenge! He gave me all the information I needed to make an informed choice of options and he listened patiently to all my concerns. Best of all, it was wonderful to be given plenty of time to think rather than having to fit into a short time slot. I look forward to functioning much better after my op!

Mr ward is excellent. He explained things in a clear and concise manner, while giving me the available treatment options and telling me the best thing to do. He answered my questions with honesty and and genuinely understands the problems my knee was causing me. I have to say his secretary Lauren was extremely helpful in arranging and booking the procedure and went above and beyond. Highly recommend Mr Ward.

A brief summary of my personal experience following the reconstruction of my right knee chronic patellar tendon rupture. Following a bad fall whilst walking my dog, when my right foot was trapped in a muddy bank and I was thrown forward severely hyperextending my right knee, I had surgery on the 16th August 2020. As I was transferred to a bed in the recovery room for the first time in nearly a year, I was able to lift my leg. I was also able to leave the hospital the same day. I took Paracetamol for about a week and there has been little or no pain ever since. My leg was in a knee brace for 6 weeks gradually increasing the range of movement from 0°- 90° and undergoing physio. It was then removed. Now just 4 months after the operation I can walk well without a crutch or stick taking full length strides at a good pace. My knee now flexes to over 90°and I can walk upstairs normally, step overstep. It feels strong and can exert a lot of downward pressure. I can even ride a static bike and kick a ball for my dog. The degree of movement and strength is much more than I could ever have expected. With continued exercises I’m confident that it will continue to strengthen allowing me to do more and gain in confidence. I have nothing but praise for everyone who was involved from the pre-op, through the operation itself and post-operative care. The care I received was exemplary and the results have been great.
