Mr Shah was very kind and patient. He explained everything simply and he and his staff took great care of me during my operation and subsequently care. Unfortunately Mr Shah is often late with his appointments but that’s because he takes time to listen to his patients so I am happy to wait for him! His secretary was also extremely helpful.

I was lucky enough to receive a right total hip replacement at Goring Hall Hospital, under the expert care of Mr Shah and his team. I was admitted following a thorough pre operative assessment and greeted by the very friendly anaesthetist who decided to perform a general anaesthetic rather than a spinal after considering my degenerative spinal disease. Following the operation, I was expertly cared for by the nursing staff and physiotherapists at the hospital and apart from a temporary drop in blood pressure, my first few days were uneventful. Mr Shah visited me before my discharge and told me that the operation had gone well. I had a few sessions of physiotherapy following my discharge which provided both reassurance and ongoing advice regarding my mobility. After about six weeks, I was delighted to find that all my nocturnal pain had disappeared. I saw Mr Shah in out patients at 7 weeks post op and he was very pleased with my progress. I am now nine weeks post op and able to walk without pain. I am increasing my walking distance every day. I am absolutely delighted. Thank you Mr Shah and all your team!

I had been suffering greatly with the pain and inability to do my job correctly I went from being in 24/7 incredible pain in my left hip to being pain free for the first time in 4 years! Mr. Shah made me feel relaxed and at ease from the moment I met him right through until the day I left the hospital. His team cannot be praised enough for the quality of care and compassion I received from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. The aftercare I received was second to none, amazing people and staff I honestly cannot thank you and your staff enough for giving back my quality of life. Many thanks Robert Oliver

Mr Shah has looked after me over 12 years and he has operated on my hips and knee a total of 4 times. I was originally referred to him following a hip operation by another surgeon which did not work out. The treatment to sort out the problem required 2 seperate operations and seemed very daunting at the time. But all through Mr Shah was kindness personified and so reassuring and the treatment was a great success. Little wonder when some years later with my left hip and again more recently with my knee I made sure to arrange for him to perform my operations with the usual excellent outcome It is difficult to suggest how the service I have received could be improved because the results I have had have been so good. And the staff at the hospital have also been excellent everytime I have been an inpatient. I would have no reservation at all recommending Mr Shah - for me he is Simply the Best
