In June 2023 I had an orthopaedic revision to my left leg which had been infected by a chronic infection. The surgeon was Mr. Nirav Shah. The operation which was very complicated was a total success and my sincere thanks to him and all his staff.

Having struggled with pain and lack of mobility for months, I was referred to Mr Shah at Goring Hall Hospital for a total hip replacement procedure. From the very first time attending clinic, I was totally taken care of; pre-op assessment and information, admission, procedure and post-op care, including physio. The staff are efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. Mr. Shah showed empathy and obvious skill - I didn't have a single bruise on my body! My recovery was extremely quick and I was walking unaided within 2 weeks, driving in just over 4 weeks and now, other than a scar, would not know that anything has been done. I would say to anyone else who may be having this procedure, the follow-up Physiotherapy is an absolute must. If you work with the initial discomfort, the benefits are outstanding. I am back to being me.................

I requested that I was referred to Mr Shah after I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis of both hips because he had been the surgeon who had operated on my daughter some 14 years earlier. The operation of my left hip went extremely well and I'm very pleased with how pain free and flexible that hip is now. I was nervous about the operation, but I was put ease with everyone involved and now I can't wait to hear from Mr Shah as to when I can have the same treatment on my right hip.
