I attended the Spire for a hernia operation. Mr Stylianides was very good in explaining the whole procedure that I would have to undergo. The operation was not as straight forward as expected, but the result was a complete success. Mr Stylianides even phoned me after I returned home to make sure I was feeling as well as I could expect post operation. My post operation appointment checkup with Mr Stylianides was also considered a success after his examination, resulting in my discharge. The advice given regarding what I should and should not do going forward was very useful and a great help in planning my next six to eight weeks recovery period. Thank you very much Mr Stylianides

Dr Stillianides has got to be one of the nicest doctors I have come across. He listens attentively to everything you say, always polite, always reassuring. I'm feeling fantastic after my surgery and enjoying life again. If your thinking of going to see him then I fully recommend him. His gorgeous secretary Emma also helped make my whole experience very pleasant, she's a lovely girl.

Dr Nicholas was great, the initial face to face visit was uncomplicated, he examined my situation, it was quick and painless, he listened to my comments, and then explained everything about the procedure that could be done and the eventual recovery . The operation was a simple procedure under general anaesthetic, I was admitted early morning and was prepped and everything explained by the staff nurse and anaesthetist and Dr Nicholas visited to reassure me of the simple procedure he would carry out and I was taken to the operation theatre about lunch time and before I knew it I awoke in bed with my wife sat smiling in a chair next to me. I was released to go home after 3/4 hours, when Dr Nicholas had advised the procedure had gone well with no complications and I was prescribed antibiotic and pain killers - which were really not needed for the minimal discomfort I felt, and stopped taking them after two days. The recovery was quick and the wound site had healed after a week. A courtesy telephone call after 3/4 days from Dr Nicholas was kind, and I saw him 12 days after the operation - all was well and I can not recommend Dr Nicholas enough, he is very pleasant, very professional, and gave me confidence that this was the right man to solve my medical problem - which he did.

Mr Stylianides was calm and reassuring, and very clear in his explanation of the procedure I needed. He left plenty of space for me to ask questions, and was positive and encouraging.

I had previously had a bad experience with surgery and anaesthesia. From the first appointment he put me at ease. On the day of surgery, he came to see me to discuss any last points. As i was in the anesthetic room, he came out to see me and give me some reassuring words. After surgery, he came to check how i was before i went home. I recieved a call from him the following day to check again before the weekend. This is all part of his job, but to me he went above and beyond his role. He is a great consultant, surgeon and a really lovely genuine guy.
