Niel walton replaced my knee 13 years ago , it is perfect I had two before this which failed, but Mr Walton in my opinion is the best surgeon ever, I'm waiting for my other knee replacing and I really hope it's him doing it for me

I have nothing bad to say about Mr Walton. A professional doctor that inspired me trust from the 1st contact with him. Lots of things I could not understand just because of my language barrier and being shocked after realising I need a surgery, yet I could totally feel that he knows what he's doing and relay on him. After surgery he didn't gave me too many details regarding the damage because is too medical (specific terminology that I couldn't understand anyways). I prefer him to be focus on surgery, instead of wasting time trying to teach people with no medical expertise, medical terminology etc. I'm googleing now what's written on the discharge letter, the things he done on knee just because I'm curious. I feel really lucky being under his knowledge. Kind regards, Laura C.

My knee had been damage from an early age, one op in 1997 to ‘tidy up, but surgeon didn’t repair ruptured ACL! For most of my adult life I’ve been restricted because of unstable knee! Roll forward to 2019 and after another’tidy’ up op, Neil could see what he needed to do ! Neil changed my life totally with a replacement joint! I could never thank him enough… my life is pain free and for that’ll will be forever grateful! At age 50 too!! Thank you thank you thank you, Neil Walton!!

Treated me with respect and skill. I has an awful knee and I’m now so much better. The whole team were great and so was the hospital.

Reputedly a great surgeon but, as other patients and nurses have told us, and confirmed by our own experience, not a great people person. Found him patronising, old school, 'I know, I'm the boss, listen to me - and my big words- accept what I say, and go away' - and complete with an alpha-chimp handshake. As one of his nurses said - if I had a problem with my knees, I'd want him to operate on me but he's not a great human being.' Born out by our own experience - so the thing to know is, if you need surgery then apparently very good; if you need therapeutic care and information about how to cope with knee pain, don't expect any decent level of information. You should get better service from a physio. Professionally, I think hospitals should train these guys (there are fewer of them, thankfully, as the years go by), assess them, and develop their interpersonal skills.
