I thought Mr Johns was very calm, thorough and mindful when given me the news that I had breast cancer. With his expertise he explained in detail all about the procedure and what I might expect after the surgery , which put my mind at ease as I only have a small scar under my arm and around my areole. A fantastic bit of surgery which I am grateful for. The news is overwhelming as they explain about the type of cancer and what grade etc, but then you have the breast nurses available at any time to answer any questions to put your mind at rest. I was a little confused on my follow up appointment as I didn’t realise I still would need radiotherapy even if I didn’t need chemotherapy, as the cancer had been removed and it hadn’t gone to my lymph nodes, I just didn’t process that information. Maybe that could be explained more as I realise now that this is essential for the follow up treatment to reduce or stop it returning. I am so grateful to Mr Johns and his team for the care I have been given.

Mr Johns is an exceptional consultant, not just for his excellent surgical skill but also for his wonderful interpersonal and communication skills. Throughout my breast care journey he helped to make understanding the whole process very straightforward. He combined the skill of being simultaneously reassuring with being realistic. I was in the fortunate position of having choices regarding surgery. He listened to my concerns and helped me through the benefits and limitations of each with great kindness. This helped me a lot to reach my own decision. Throughout my experience I felt in very safe hands and I have no hesitation in warmly recommending Mr Neil Johns to anyone facing breast care surgery.

Felt completely relaxed and Mr John's was very thorough and explained the process well. I was fortunate enough to not need further appointments but Mr John's gave me the time and reassurance I needed. A great bedside manner which made me feel totally at ease. Would 100% recommend

What an amazing man! Great bedside manner, instilled great trust and always found time to explain the options clearly and offer advice. The challenging breast cancer operation with reconstruction went really well and I was left with minimal scarring and a breast that looks just like my unaffected one. Many thanks.
