Mr Neil Johns

I thought Mr Johns was very calm, thorough and mindful when given me the news that I had breast cancer. With his expertise he explained in detail all about the procedure and what I might expect after the surgery , which put my mind at ease as I only have a small scar under my arm and around my areole. A fantastic bit of surgery which I am grateful for.
The news is overwhelming as they explain about the type of cancer and what grade etc, but then you have the breast nurses available at any time to answer any questions to put your mind at rest. I was a little confused on my follow up appointment as I didn’t realise I still would need radiotherapy even if I didn’t need chemotherapy, as the cancer had been removed and it hadn’t gone to my lymph nodes, I just didn’t process that information. Maybe that could be explained more as I realise now that this is essential for the follow up treatment to reduce or stop it returning. I am so grateful to Mr Johns and his team for the care I have been given.
