Mr Vergese first operated successfully on me in 2014,since which time various other health complications have come along to disturb things added to which I am now almost 80 years old.. After several consultations and much deliberation I have just undergone further surgery in Sancta Maria Hospital Swansea and although yet to have my final follow up appointment I can say I feel a different person. A very kind man and good listener who explores and discusses all options thoroughly and I tryst his professional skills and judgement implicitly.

Mr Navin Verghese was kind and informative. He encouraged me to ask any questions, and was helpful with my queries. He visited me the day after my operation which was moat reassuring. He was also very reassuring at my final appointment which helped my confidence.

I would live to say ut is all wonderful but I can't. Due to covid I have never met him only over phone, 2020. I am disabled and have massive back surgery 13 years In Oxford Nuffield..after waiting for over 3 years , told at first 9 months wait. Had to get mp involved.. as I was 32 and couldn't move.AMAZING .. Since then I've still been in constant pain, on morphine and many more pain and nerve medication. I have been saying for over q0 years pain inside my bum and gorin & hip. I was told then it was my hip but not bad enough to operate.. Then 2019 mri told me no it my nerve that is jammed, so Mr verghese was now going to help me ,, I had one phone call then I had to have a gel thing put into the place to see if it helped if did do op to release it .... 5 months after call from his secretary ask me some questions I tried to explain the best I could ,, but for first time I had a bit of strength back in right leg, for now 15 years , I use to run in gym 4 ti.es a week , hotel manager , now stuck at home every day, on disability.. I was so grateful finally this could be a game changer for me and my family ... To this day I have not heard one thing nothing I'm now in more pain then ever and I fo hospital, doctors all I get told and have done for years NOTHING ELSE WE CAN DO FOR YOU UNTILL YOU SEE MR VERGHESE, .. They stopped my tables that helped a bit cos now been taking them so long it affected my stomach.. that another story waiting magic eye .. for over a year ... I know covid has been so hard for nhs , but if I was paying it would of been done last year it seems cos everyone on his private seems to be thanking him on here .. When my surgeon from Oxford seen me the first time.e 15 years ago he was so shocked they way a 32 year old had been left for 3 years I got as far as reading phone call come back next day he doing op day after 9 half op .. cos he couldn't leave me any lo get, he did his bit shame swansea nhs have let me down yet again ... I can't get in touch with anyone to help me find out his he doing the op , how long is waiting list , how long am I looking at again with my life on Hold .. Many thanks CYRELLE EDGECOMBE

I had lumber surgery on L3 L4 exactly a year ago to the day (19/11/2021) to remove my disc. I cannot recommend Mr Verghese enough as well as his whole team at Sancta Maria. He gave me the options open to me as regards treatment and I opted for the disc removal which I am extremely glad I did. I am a very active 56 yr old who lifts weights and cycles a great deal. Within six months I was totally back to normal with little or not pain, twelve months on I am still in the same place and doing everything I could do prior to surgery. I cannot recommend Mr Vereghese enough TOP BLOKE

Mr Verghese explained to me at the time, precisely what the procedure would involve, including what other options were available, and what the possible outcomes could be if I went ahead with the op. He was very clear about the possible, but unlikely risks involved, however the clear way everything was explained gave me the confidence to go ahead. The follow up conversation that we had last week assured me that my recovery was proceeding well, and Mr Verghese confirmed that I could contact him, should I have any future concerns. All in all, I cannot fault the service that I have received.
