I had my ACL reconstructed under Mr Somashekar. The process from consultation, to surgery and then follow up, was seamless. Instantly fell at ease, and I was able to put my trust in Mr Somashekar very quickly. He displayed a wide range on knowledge and tailored his approach to my exact needs. He showed great compassion to my situation, as my injury had been long standing and had taken a long time to diagnose. My frustrations were evident and Mr Somashekar was very understanding. The surgery seemed to go perfectly, I had no pain at all (maybe I was lucky?) and was weight bearing on the leg that day. The knee felt solid even at the 2 week follow up. I have since continued the recovery process and the knee feels great and I have every confidence and have been given every confidence by Mr Somashekar, that I will be able to make a return to sport in time. Special mention for the assisting surgeons and all the staff at Mount Vernon that delivered my care that day. Thank you.

We cannot thank Mr Somashekar enough for his care, attention and professionalism towards our son before, during and after his ACL repair. He had a sporting injury in August 20 and navigating the NHS during a pandemic is understandably very difficult. We finally got to meet Mr Somashekar in December 20. From feeling adrift and worried about what was to happen, as soon as we were under his care, we felt there was a sense of direction and an action plan in place. After a cancellation of our son's operation in January, we felt incredibly lucky to have it rescheduled to March 21. The operation went very well and the recovery has been a good one, albeit a long road. Mr Somashekar has been a huge support to us and has only treated us with the utmost respect. We are truly grateful to him.

I cannot thank Mr Somashekar enough for giving me my life back after a total hip replacement. At the age of 49 it was a complete shock to be diagnosed with severe osteoarthritis in my left hip. Mr Somashekar with great kindness and compassion explained that it was probably due to my family history and a total hip replacement was the only viable option. He advised me on the most suitable implants for my age and anaesthetic options. He gave me time to think about it but the pain and my mobility got worse affecting my everyday life. I was no longer able to take care of my horse, never mind ride him and walk my dog. My daughter is also in her GCSE year and I did not want to put my family under any more stress. I had the operation in October 2020 and although major surgery is never easy I was surprised how quickly I recovered. The care I received from Mr Somashekar and all the staff at Bishopswood was second to none. I can now look forward to my normal active lifestyle pain free, even get back in the saddle soon and taking part in low level dressage competitions again. Thank you
