Mr Rath was very welcoming and friendly. He took time to explain what he could see on the scans of my back and the problems it would be causing. Mr Rath was the first person who actually asked me to explain what the pain was like and where it was. He said that he suspected that there was something else going on apart from my back problems. I went for an X Ray during the consultation rather than having to go back. The X Ray confirmed that I had a problem with my hips. I was referred to a hip specialist who agreed to give me a pain relief injection in one hip but he doubted it would help much but I was glad to try anything that might help. I couldn't believe the difference, I was pain free from the same day I had the injection and have good mobility back. Mr Rath explained that he will always check every avenue and surgery is a last resort. It is such a relief that he found a way to improve my pain and quality of life & is the only person who has thought to get my hips checked.
