I saw Mr Rath after suffering serious back and leg pain for some time and upon meeting him for the first time I felt completely at ease and relaxed. Mr. Rath listened to me and it was agreed that an MRI scan was required. Following the scan, which showed a cyst on L4/5 which confirmed the cause of my pain. Mr. Rath then talked through the options available to me. He did so in such a clear way and he made very sure that I understood everything. After trying the pain relief possibility for a while, which turned out not to work for me, I saw Mr. rath for a review. Once again he so carefully explained possible outcomes and risks involved, but at no time was I pressured. I decided to opt for surgery and was admitted to the Grosvenor Nuffield at noon on Saturday where I was looked after so, so well. Mr. Rath came to see me prior to surgery and again talked me through things. I knew I was safe in his hands and that faith was justified when he came to see me after surgery to explain the procedure. He even took the trouble to call my Husband to reassure him that surgery had gone well. That's the sort of kind man that he is. I saw him again on Sunday morning with his lovely son, who is a delight. I have the utmost respect for Mr. Rath for his expertise and for the charming gentleman that he is. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending him and cannot, personally, thank him enough.
