I started with severe sciatica pain down my right leg and into my foot causing numbness my first doctors appointments at my surgery were unfortunately telephone ones because of Covid after eventually seeing a GP who referred me for a MRI scan and referred me to Mr Rath. I first saw Mr Rath at The Spire Hospital in Wrexham he was professional and immediately began the process to get me better. Again unfortunately because of Covid he tried extremely hard to get the earliest available theatre date. However because it would take too long to get a slot there we changed over to The Grosvenor Nuffield Hospital. Throughout all this Mr Rath kept me informed and answered any queries I had. I finally had a Lumbar decompression Mr Rath had previously explained that I may have to have a Discectomy but he managed to avoid doing that as the Lumbar decompression was successful and all this done via keyhole surgery so no big scar. I was amazed I went in for my operation barely able to walk and in extreme pain I left hospital the very next day walking normally albeit a little sore. Mr Rath showed such compassion and professionalism when I came round after the operation he even rang my husband from his mobile so that I was able to speak with him from my bed something that I never imagined would of happened. You can’t imagine how pleased I was to of been put into Mr Rath’s caring hands he truly is amazing and my recovery is going well all thanks to him and his staff.
