Really listened to what I had to say, I had rotator cuff repair and he explained everything thoroughly. He made me feel at ease with the surgery and follow up appointments. Would highly recommend Dr Prasad and I feel he does not need to improve anything

I was fortunate to have Mr Prasad deal with my injuries as a result of a road traffic collision. One of my injuries was a broken Scapula, although the Scapula was in many pieces it was initially decided surgery was not required. After a week Mr Prasad was concerned about a certain lack of lateral movement, after consultation with a fellow colleague the complicated operation looked likely. Mr Prasad involved myself in his thought process and agreed that if I could work on getting the particular movement back within the next few days, then surgery could be avoided. Mr Prasad thought that surgery if not required would lead to a better and more trouble free recovery. I compete in Triathlon events and train 6 times a week, my job is also physical so recovery and quality recovery are both very important to me. With a lot of work at home with regards to researched physio, I was able to regain the necessary movement. I met with Mr Prasad the day before my surgery appointment (pre-op), Mr Prasad was genuinely pleased with my progress. We discussed the pros and cons of an operation and it was decided not to go ahead with surgery. Four weeks on from the accident I today met Mr Prasad who seemed to be very pleased with the progress made, he was leaning to the non surgical treatment and was very happy (along with myself) that the correct choice was made. Mr Prasad and his team at Tameside made me feel that I was not just a number but someone who's best interests was to be considered and for that I am very thankful. If there is anything I can pass on to people with similar injuries, it would be to work hard at home although this can be quite painful at times to help with the healing process. We believed that if I had sat at home motionless in a sling then the operation would probably have been required, this could have led to a lot of problems with the muscles, large scar, infections etc. If you want to be dealt with by someone who will involve you throughout the whole process, then you won't go wrong with Mr Prasad and the whole Tameside team. Many thanks Ian
