I was referred to gynaecology from oncology as I was experiencing heavy bleeds on HRT medication. Mr Masood checked the position of my mirena coil and realised it was not in the correct position as it had become lodged under a fibroid, and explained he could attempt to move it but the procedure may be painful. He was incredibly gentle and I did not experience any pain whilst he did this or when he took a biopsy. I remarked upon how gentle the procedure was and the accompanying nurse said that was what other patients had said earlier that day. Since then I have had further follow up consultations with Mr Masood the most recent being today (17.10.23). Although the clinic was overrunning by about an hour I did not mind waiting as I realised this meant that Mr Massod was not rushing other patients but giving them the time needed for an effective consultation. Mr Masood listened intently to me, and explained that as I reported that the bleeds had stopped it meant the coil was working as it should and releasing the correct amount of progesterone. I was concerned what would happen when the coil came to the end of its licensed term and he said he would keep me on annual review which really reassured me as I am aged over 65 but was keen to remain on HRT as I have a family history of osteoporosis. I thoroughly recommend Mr Masood as being respectful, professional, empathetic and I am so relieved that I am going to remain under his care.

Mr Masood listened to me when we discussed the type of treatment I needed, he was able to give advice on the best treatment and was able to reassure me about my worries regarding surgery and the aftercare that I needed. He was also able to give me advice about changing my HRT and what I would need going g forward. I felt I was listened to and given the right amount of information to make the best decision for me.

I was seen by Dr Masood few weeks ago. He performed hysteroscopic resection of submucosal fibroid on me and it was successful. Its been almost a month since my surgery and I've recovered well. I was suffering from severe menorrhagia, and I am glad my bleeding has now subsided. I am waiting for my normal monthly bleeding to normalise, but so far, it's been a good experience being looked after by Dr Masood. From consultation to aftercare. Everything was explained clearly. I would recommend Dr. Masood to anyone who is experiencing the same case as me.

Mr Masood was very informative from the start and gave me the options I had to choose from treatment wise. He advised me on what may be most appropriate for me personally age wise and made sure I had the written information to read up on my own. I was so happy with how Mr Masood dealt with my case, my operation went without a hitch and I have even had compliments on how neat my scar is! I cannot recommend him highly enough, amazing service from start to finish. Thank you to you and your team.
