Mr Mahran was so lovely and understanding! I have stage 4 endometriosis which was on pretty much every organ of my lower abdomen except my liver and appendix and he managed to remove all of this. I had been neglected medically by every other gynaecologist I had seen (this was about 10 different doctors may I add) but when I met with Mr Mahran no symptom was ever too big for him to manage. He is ever so diplomatic and caring, he is empathetic too! I am post op of 7 weeks now and I have healed really well. Mr Mahran removed endometriosis from my bowel, pouch of douglas, rectum and vaginal wall these sort of places that most doctors would refuse to touch. My recovery was smooth and have had no complications post surgery. The hospital staff were so kind to me at bedford hospital too. I would highly recommend Mr Mahran; before I met him I felt I had lost all hope and had to give up work because my pain was so incredibly severe. I now start back in my career next week which I thought was impossible for me to achieve due to how unwell I had been but thanks to Mr Mahran I am able to go back to work and continue my career.

From start to finish Mr Mahran went above and beyond. I had a total hysterectomy in December 2022 for adenomyosis, endometriosis uncontrollable pain and bleeding and a large endometrioma. I was advised to have an open abdominal hysterectomy due to the complexity and size of the endometrioma. Mr mahran did a laparoscopic hysterectomy with no problems and has left me with very little scarring and already so much better quality of life. He explained everything he was going to do before surgery and my review after surgery was better than I could have imagined. Anyone looking for a specialist in endometriosis and gynaecology then this is who you are looking for.

Mr Mahran has been integral through my endometriosis’ journey. Having had 3 surgeries with to relieve endometrial lesions, polyps and adomiosis (improving quality of life from diagnoses aged 36) to my complete hysterectomy (prevention care for endo and as my mum suffered with ovarian cancer) aged 45 - he has been consistent, professional, kind, effective and above all a fantastic surgeon. His team are wonderful both at The Manor Hospital, Bedford Bridges Clinic and Bedford Hospital. I feel empowered by my treatment from him. He listens, treats me as a whole person and I wouldn’t hesitate to ask for his support again should my gyne journey ever require it. Thank you Mr Mahran.
