I am a 66 year old male who loves to play golf, enjoys going on holidays and socialising. During 2022 my life changed, I had severe problems with both my Hips and was in constant pain, struggled to walk, dress myself etc. I had an appointment with Mr Faisal who after xrays, etc, advised that I needed both my hips replaced. After a very detailed and clear discussion he advised that I could have a Bi-lateral Hip Replacement. I was worried but I had every confidence in Mr Faisal and he had confidence in me, and I decided to go ahead. I had my operation at the BMI Meriden in Coventry in December 2022. The process was excellent, from start to finish. I had a letter confirming my pre op date, letter advising me of my date of operation and what would happen from arriving at the hospital, equipment I may need etc. I arrived to have the operation and was kept informed by Mr Faisal and all the clinical staff what would happen and when, what would take place in the operation. Operation took place and afterwards Mr Faisal came to see me to advise all had gone well. The Clinical staff, Nurses, Health Support workers , Physios were all brilliant. and I left the hospital 5 days later. The care and follow up were excellent. I had appointments with Mr Faisal 3 times for checkups and to see how everything was. I was back playing golf and enjoying my life within 3 months.
I also had problems with my knee but Mr Faisal advised that he would look at this once my hips had been sorted. I had a replacement knee operation in August 2023 at the Nuffield Hospital Leamington Spa and once again the service from start to finish was excellent. So to be clear within 9 months I had 2 hips replaced and a new knee. I was on the road to recovery again. I seen Mr Faisal for check ups and had physio weekly I could not believe the difference. Once again I was back playing my beloved golf within 3 -4 months.
I cannot thank Mr Faisal and his teams for what they have done they have changed my life, I am no longer in any pain with my hips and knee. I would recommend/advise anyone who needs their hips or knees looking at to see Mr Faisal he enabled me to get my life back and for that I will never be able to thank him enough.
Dr Fiasal was extremely professional understanding and gave me a lot of confidence in his ability. I chose the super path method of surgery which was fantastic. The scar was so small and the recovery time was amazing. If you are having to have a hip replacement I would strongly recommend this method.
I had a total hip replacement at the Nuffield hospital in Leamington Spa performed by Mohammad Faisal. He was both professional and courteous taking time to explain why I needed the surgery, what it would do for me and the specifics of the procedure. He performed the hip replacement using the SuperPath procedure. This has many benefits over the posterior hip replacement procedure. Benefits include:
Smaller incision size
Minimal disruption to the hip capsule and surrounding soft tissues
Faster recovery
Less scarring
No restrictions on hip positions post-operatively.
I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. After an overnight stay I went home the following afternoon only needing to take paracetamol to manage the minimal pain. I was walking with a stick within days and unaided in about 4 weeks. Now after 3 months I can honestly say I am now more mobile and flexible than I have been for years.
I highly recommend Mr Faisal and the SuperPath procedure and wouldn’t hesitate to encourage anyone needing a hip replacement to go for a consultation.
I recently had a full hip replacement at Meridan Hospital, Mr Mohammad Faisal was very professional in his work, and I was very pleased with the results, I am now walking again after 5 weeks, without pain , would fully recommend Mr Faisal, if this operation is required, all the medical staff were very nice and helpful in my rehabilitation.
I had my consultation with Mr Faisal to discuss my hip problem and he proposed a full hip replacement using what he called a SUPERPATH FULL HIP REPLACEMENT. He went on to explain that, unlike a traditional hip replacement, using Superpath would involve a smaller incision. To access the joint the two muscles restricting access to then joint would be separated and not cut. I understood these to be the two main differences between the traditional hip joint replacement and the Superpath full hip replacement.
As a patient, I would benefit by having no restriction to the use of the hip following the procedure, and as the muscles had not been cut, healing would be faster.
After four weeks and four days I was back with Mr Faisal, walking with no support, feeling little or no discomfort, and walking normally.
I don't think there is any more to say other than, thank you very much Mr Faisal.
