Having been transferred as an emergency and admitted in January to Blackpool, I was operated on immediately for a life saving procedure and I will be eternally grateful to Prof Bittar and his team , especially all the wonderful ICU nurses and staff on ward 39.
Seven months on I am now enjoying a glass of wine with my family and celebrating with my grandchildren. Many many thanks.
