Mr Bittar was sympathetic and understanding of my problem and listened to my concerns. My treatment was carried out swiftly following diagnosis and the aftercare was far better than I could have expected.
My only concern was that on being discharged I was told that a follow up appointment would be made in 6 to 8 weeks. This was not factual and indeed I have since learned and had confirmed by Mr Bittar that this in reality is 8 to 10 weeks. This information needs updating with ward personnel so as not to cause anxiety and un necessary calls to the hospital.
