Mr Thomas has right at the start of my treatment been excellent. Any questions were answered clearly and honestly .Everything was clearly explained to me and this made my experience a much easier one. The surgery went well and after only four weeks my wounds have healed and i feel great surely a testament to the skills of Mr Thomas and all the team A huge thank you to all who took care of me from day one especially in these very difficult times.

Great service from a very caring and skilful surgeon. The care I received from Mr Thomas, his colleagues and the nursing staff at Kent and Canterbury Hospital was simply exemplary. Mr Thomas not only cares for his patients but following an operation, he took the trouble to phone my wife to put her mind at rest.

Felt from the moment we meet that l was in good hands. A positive and reassuring manner, explained everything, clear in what he would do with my treatment and was calming in his delivery to me at a worrying time. Meet again pre operation and meet again after to confirm it had been successful. Follow up some six weeks later to deliver positive news for myself but with guidance on how l should approach my future in regards to my health. I felt a great NHS Urology doctor,

I found it very easy to interact with Mr Thomas; his diagnosis was clear, simple and understandable. The procedures necessary were clearly explained, with the pros and cons discussed and evaluated. He was particularly aware that I was self funding the op, and made sure additional hospital costs were kept as low as possible. On the day of the operation, his pre op and post op visits kept me fully informed and reassured at all times. A final visit the next morning (Saturday), together with the anaesthetist, to check all was well before I was discharged, was appreciated, and again reassuring. A follow up consultation four weeks later where any outstanding questions were resolved, completed a very professional, straightforward procedure. Finally, I think Mr Thomas' photo sums him up very well; other consultants have posed, portrait like shots, he is in his scrubs just getting on with the job!

I had a partial nephrectomy in February at Kent and Canterbury hospital and had great care and expert surgery from Mr Thomas whom I cannot thank enough. Problems started when after only one night in hospital I was sent home. There was no aftercare whatsoever and feeling the worst I had ever felt in my life I had to instigate any medicine or nursing I required! Nothing was put in place or didn't arrive. Very little advice was given regarding pain relief and I had to contact my GP in order to obtain more after 5 days and to obtain anti nausea tablets to counteract the strong painkillers. Not a happy experience!
